La Prairie is a kitesurfing spot located around 4 km east of Le Morne, on the southwest coast of Mauritius. This site benefits from a vast, flat and shallow lake, perfect for freeriding, beginners, or long, leisurely rides.

The sandy beach is sufficiently spacious for taking off and landing kites, making it a convenient spot for kitesurfers of all levels. The location is quiet, often less crowded than Le Morne, which reinforces its appeal for those seeking tranquility.

La Prairie is suitable for beginner, intermediate and advanced kitesurfers. The shallow waters make it easy to learn in a safe environment. More experienced riders will appreciate the space available to refine their maneuvers or go for a ride along the coast.

The spot benefits from southeast trade winds, with a side-on wind that is generally steady and constant during the dry season.
